How does a vendor currently get accepted at the market?
Interested vendors complete an application through our website. Applications are reviewed based on a variety of factors, including market needs, product offerings, available space, and overall fit with the event. Due to high demand, not all applicants are immediately accepted.
Are you currently full or still accepting applications? The market is currently experiencing strong interest from vendors, and many categories are at or near capacity. However, we continue to accept applications throughout the season and maintain waitlists as needed.
What is the weekly cost to operate?
Vendor fees vary depending on vendor type and space requirements.
Do you allow multiple vendors or businesses in the same category? How do you determine which ones will be on the waitlist?
Our goal is to provide attendees with a diverse and enjoyable market experience. To achieve that, we strive to maintain a balanced mix of food, artisan, agricultural, nonprofit, and community vendors. When demand exceeds available space applicants may be placed on a waitlist until an appropriate opportunity becomes available.
What’s new at the Wednesday Night Market this year, and how has the market continued to grow and evolve during the 2026 season?
The 2026 season has been one of the strongest in recent years, with excellent attendance, strong community participation, and continued support for local businesses.
One of the most notable additions this year has been the introduction of larger regional and national touring acts to the Wednesday Night Market stage. These performances have attracted visitors from throughout Sonoma County and neighboring communities, helping bring new audiences to downtown Santa Rosa and creating additional opportunities for vendors, restaurants, and local businesses to benefit from increased foot traffic.
In addition to expanded entertainment programming, the market continues to feature a diverse mix of local food vendors, artisans, farmers, nonprofit organizations, family activities, and community programming. We have also seen growing interest from sponsors and community partners who recognize the market’s role as a gathering place that supports small businesses and contributes to the vibrancy of downtown Santa Rosa.
As we move through the season, our focus remains on providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive event that celebrates local culture, supports entrepreneurship, and creates opportunities for the community to connect. We are encouraged by the strong response this year and look forward to continuing that momentum throughout the summer.
